J24 Fleet 128

 

J24 fleet 128 is a member of J24 District 4. The AHYC race program supports a weekly one design J/24 program during our Wednesday night series. Each evening, two races are sailed, conditions and daylight permitting. These races are always very popular, are well attended, and are VERY competitive. Races are sailed on the permanently installed Olympic circle, allowing for windward leeward courses at 8 possible compass bearings.

 

The J24 Fleet 128 support the J24 District 4 Garden State Parkway Series, with regatta’s hosted by yacht clubs within the NY/NJ regional area. These regattas help to concentrate a large number of J24 sailors for weekend sailing. They coincide with the regional area PHRF regattas when possible.

Hoist and Dry Storage

The club maintains a 2-ton hoist and jib crane that efficiently launches the entire fleet in ample time for racing. It was specifically sited to eliminate the typical "yard congestion" that many facilities experience. Boat owners contract directly with the yacht club for yard storage space. The type of boats supported by the hoist is limited to the 2-ton rating. The hoisting area is ample for all boats that fit within that 2-ton rating.
